A 19-year-old driver from Birmingham has gone viral for all the wrong reasons after being pulled over for suspected drunk driving — and officers made a shocking discovery: a fake ID.
Police say the incident happened late Saturday night on a busy city street. The young driver, whose identity hasn’t been released, was stopped after erratic driving raised immediate concerns. A breath test confirmed the driver was over the legal limit.
“We knew there was more going on as soon as we spoke to them,” one officer told UNILAD. “When we asked for ID, the young driver handed over a clearly fake license. It didn’t take long to confirm.”
The combination of DUI and possession of a forged document has landed the 19-year-old in serious legal trouble. Authorities say the driver now faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence and using a false identification document.
