Key West residents were left stunned last night after local authorities arrested Caleb Coffe in what police are calling one of the most bizarre incidents the island has seen in years.

According to witnesses, the 28-year-old social media personality and “local legend” was involved in a chaotic scene outside one of the city’s popular bars around midnight. Reports describe Caleb running through the streets wearing a Hawaiian shirt, carrying what appeared to be a giant inflatable flamingo, and shouting at seagulls.

“I’ve lived here 10 years, and I’ve never seen anything like it,” said one eyewitness. “He was yelling something about a treasure map and refused to leave until someone paid him in tacos. It was surreal.”

Police were called after a bar owner reported property damage. When they arrived, Caleb allegedly resisted arrest—but according to officers, he remained calm enough to explain his “plan for world peace through flamingo diplomacy.”

Caleb Coffe was eventually taken into custody without further incident. Charges include disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and “disturbing the peace of Key West wildlife,” which social media has now dubbed #FlamingoGate.

The arrest quickly went viral, with fans sharing memes, videos, and theories about Caleb’s mysterious late-night antics. One TikTok user joked, “If Caleb Coffe isn’t running for mayor after this, what’s even the point?”

Caleb is currently being held at the Monroe County Jail, where sources say he’s “in good spirits” and already sketching plans for his next outrageous adventure.
