A 16-year-old girl has gone viral after she was caught allegedly trying to steal a lip gloss from a beauty store — and then caused a full-blown meltdown when confronted by staff.
Witnesses say the teen, identified only as Kayla, was stopped at the exit by store security after alarms went off. At first, she denied everything — until workers found the item tucked inside her sleeve.
That’s when the drama really began.
“She started crying, shouting that it was ‘just lip gloss’ and that her friends dared her,” said one shopper. “Then she threw her bag on the floor and screamed that everyone was being ‘so extra.’”
Video from the scene shows Kayla pacing in front of the store entrance while security staff try to calm her down. When they ask her to wait for her parents, she reportedly yells, “I’m not a criminal!”
The clip, which now has over 5 million views on TikTok, has divided viewers.
Some say it’s just a teenager making a mistake. Others argue it’s a lesson in accountability.
