There are bad days… and then there are “getting chased by police and face-planting on camera” days.
A video that’s been making the rounds online this week shows a young woman attempting a daring — and slightly overconfident — escape from police, only for gravity to step in and absolutely humble her.
In the clip, she’s seen sprinting down a side street, handbag flying, adrenaline clearly in overdrive. For a solid three seconds, it looks like she might actually get away — until her ankle says “nope.”
Cue the slow-motion fall that would make even a stunt double wince. She hits the pavement, slides a few feet, and immediately gets surrounded by cops who probably didn’t expect the chase to end with a cartoon-style wipeout.
The internet, of course, did what it does best — turned it into a meme factory.
“She almost had ‘main character energy’ till the pavement entered the chat 💀,” one person commented.
“Someone please add the Mario Kart banana peel sound effect,” another joked.
Within hours, the clip had racked up millions of views and at least three remixes featuring Yakety Sax and Mission: Impossible theme music.
The moral of the story? If you’re gonna run, maybe check your shoelaces first — because the internet never forgets a fall this dramatic.
