A shocking video has gone viral showing the moment police restrained a man accused of kidnapping a young woman after a high-speed chase through city streets.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Dylan Cross, was taken into custody after officers tracked down his car following a frantic 911 call from a passerby who reported hearing screams coming from the vehicle.
When police finally stopped him, the footage shows officers dragging Dylan out of the driver’s seat as he shouted incoherently, before pinning him to the ground and placing him in full body restraints.
Inside the car, officers reportedly found a 23-year-old woman who had been tied and gagged, but thankfully alive. She was taken to hospital for treatment and is said to be in stable condition.
“It was one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen,” one witness told reporters. “You could tell she was terrified — but also relieved it was over.”
Police say Cross is facing multiple charges, including kidnapping, unlawful restraint, and assault. They also confirmed he was known to the victim but are still investigating the motive.
The video, which has now been viewed over 20 million times, has sparked outrage online — and praise for the officers who intervened.
“Seeing him restrained like that was chilling,” one commenter wrote. “But thank God they got her out in time.”
Authorities have urged people not to share the full video out of respect for the victim’s privacy.
