What started as a routine traffic stop on the M6 has turned into one of the biggest drug busts of the year — and the story has since blown up online.

Police say they pulled over a pickup truck on Thursday morning after noticing it swerving slightly between lanes. The driver, a 32-year-old woman from Liverpool, appeared “nervous and agitated,” but officers had no idea what they were about to uncover.

After a quick conversation, police decided to search the vehicle — and that’s when they made a jaw-dropping discovery: over £1.2 million worth of drugs hidden in a secret compartment welded into the truck bed.

“It was meant to be a standard stop,” one officer told UNILAD. “We thought she might’ve been tired or distracted. Next thing we know, we’re uncovering a haul that looks straight out of a crime documentary.”

Authorities later confirmed the stash included cocaine, MDMA, and several bags of high-purity ketamine — all vacuum-sealed and professionally packed. Officers also found burner phones, stacks of cash, and a handwritten ledger detailing “drop locations” across the UK.

The woman reportedly claimed she “didn’t know” about the hidden compartment, telling police she’d “just borrowed the truck from a mate.” That excuse didn’t last long.

“Let’s just say her story didn’t add up,” another officer said.

Photos of the bust have since gone viral, with social media users calling it “something straight out of Breaking Bad.”

“Imagine thinking you’re just getting pulled over for a bad overtake — and next thing you’re trending for a million-dollar drug bust,” one comment joked.

The woman is now in custody and facing multiple charges, including possession with intent to supply and trafficking.

Police praised the sharp instincts of the officers involved, saying the routine stop “took a dangerous amount of drugs off the street.”

One official summed it up perfectly:

“Sometimes it’s the stops that seem like nothing that uncover everything.”
