A woman’s attempt to fake a medical emergency to avoid being arrested has backfired spectacularly — and the internet cannot stop laughing.

According to police in Texas, 29-year-old Amber Lewis was pulled over for suspected DUI after running a red light late Friday night. Officers say she seemed nervous and unsteady, and when they began to question her, she suddenly shouted, “I’m having a seizure!” and collapsed dramatically onto the pavement.

The problem? It wasn’t exactly convincing.

Bodycam footage shows the woman blinking and peeking around while “convulsing,” then pausing to ask, “Can I still go home after this?”

That’s when one officer, clearly unimpressed, said the now-viral line:

“Ma’am… that’s not how a seizure works.”

Social media lost it.

“She hit pause on her seizure to negotiate 💀,” one commenter wrote.
Another added: “Give that cop an Oscar for keeping a straight face.”

Police say medics were called just in case, but it quickly became clear the seizure was fake. Amber was arrested and charged with DUI and obstructing an officer.

“She’s okay — just embarrassed,” one officer said. “It’s not the first time someone’s tried something dramatic to get out of cuffs… but it might be the funniest.”
