A hot air balloon trip meant to offer scenic views and a peaceful experience ended in an emergency landing after a sudden mid-flight incident.
According to witnesses, the balloon had been airborne for only a short time when strong winds unexpectedly pushed it off course. Passengers reported feeling the basket lurch and dip as the pilot attempted to regain control.
Video captured by those on board shows passengers holding tightly to the basket as it swayed and descended unevenly. Some can be heard calling out in alarm as the pilot communicated with ground crews.
The balloon eventually landed in an open field several miles from its intended location. Emergency services responded quickly, and no serious injuries were reported, though several passengers were treated for minor bruises and anxiety.
